Canvas Learning Management System
North Idaho College uses Canvas as its official Learning Management System (LMS). Canvas provides a centralized location for content delivery, course communication, assessments, grading, and student engagement tools. Canvas supports all instructional modalities.
Every course section at NIC is automatically provided with a Canvas course site. Faculty are encouraged to maintain their courses regularly, keeping them organized and accessible throughout the term. This ensures students have consistent access to course materials, assignments, grades, and communication.

- Distribute course materials and resources
- Create and manage assignments, discussions, and quizzes
- Communicate with students

Integrated Instructional Tools
Canvas integrates with several instructional technologies supported by North Idaho College, including:
- Zoom
- Panopto
- Turnitin
- Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor
- Publisher platforms
